Recycle Old Mattresses at Bud’s Warehouse

A key component of the Bud’s Warehouse mission is providing employment opportunities for people rebuilding lives. This is the motivation that led to the creation of New Beginnings Custom Woodwork and also Bud’s recent highlight in the Denver Post.

We are very excited about the newest opportunity to provide needed job-training to individuals recovering from prison, addictions and homelessness: mattress recycling!

Mattresses can be difficult to dispose of and they’re terrible for the landfill, but 95% of the material in mattresses is recyclable!

You can bring your old mattress into Bud’s and drop it off for only $15 each piece ($30 for a set). We’ll then take your mattress to our recycling facility and tear it apart for all the recyclable pieces:

  • Metal springs can be recycled and the steel reused.
  • Polyurethane foam can be shredded and used for carpet pads and insulation.
  • Wood in foundations can be processed by wood chippers used for fuel or mulch.

By keeping your mattress out of the landfill and providing jobs for people rebuilding lives, you’ll be able to sleep better on your new mattress.

For more information or to donate tax deductible building supplies, call (303) 296-3990. Bud’s Warehouse is open Monday though Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

  1. Those foam pads in the pic would be great as camping/sleeping mats. Any chance you sell those at your store?
